11:30AM 48F verywindy. It was a bit unpleasant to run today. I did my new office to trail route. I felt a bit slow and tired after my long run yesterday. Need to get more sleep.

9:30 AM, cld but sunny. I was not too motivated going into this run. I kept a very nice pace on this dificult route but I didn't have fun. It's a little hard for me to be motivated recently. Maybe an after race syndrom.

11 AM, 40F cloudy. Ran to the trail and did a long loop. Given my lack of sleep I was very fast (7:30 average pace). I need to get more sleep. This is the first day of the official training towards Raliegh Rock Half Marathon at the end of March. Hoooray!

2PM, 55F. It was only about an hour and a half after lunch so I was still heavy. I managed to pull a decent run (7:52). Tomorrow I plan to do a tempo run so there was no reason for me to try and push myself today. It's going to be hot and humid tomorrow so I'll try to run it as early as I can.

9 AM 65F humid. Today's weather is very unseasonal but tomorrow the coldness will be back. Anyway, I was going to Duke's tracks for a tempo run. Did 1 mile warm up (7:45) and then 4 miles tempo (7:08, 7:12, 7:10, 7:09) and a 1 mile cool down (8:41) for a total of 6 miles. I was very happy with my performance is these humid and warm conditions and especially after I haven't done any quality workout in the last 3 weeks. It wasn't easy at all. I really worked very hard in those 4 miles tempo.

10:00 AM 55F drizzle to light rain, almost no wind. It was lot of fun to run in the rain. It wasn't cold so it felt nice. I did my usual course.

8:AM 30F cold but it got warmer as I ran. I ran to the American Tobacco Trail which I didn't do for a while. The pace was 7:45 on average and I didn't feel I am pushing myself.

10:30AM, 48F cloudy and some light wind. I headed for the tracks for some speed work. Did 1 mile warm up at 7:53. Then I did 3 times 1 mile repeats (6:53, 6:51, 6:50) with 0.5 mile jog in between and at the end another cool down mile. 6 miles over all. I felt good and strong. The miles themselves were hard labor but not impossible.

Noon, 65F and cloudy. I did the usual route plus another small loop on the East Campus quad. My legs felt a bit tired although the pace was OK (7:40). Looking forward for some rest tomorrow.

9AM 45F cloudy. It was raining all morning and I decided to wait till it gets better. Eventually went out at about 9AM and it was still drizzling. Somewhere toward the 4th or 5th mile the drizzle stopped and it actually became nicer and the sun gradually came out toward the end of the run. The run itself felt good. There were almost no people out. I did a relatively easy pace of just under 8 minutes per mile.

Noon, 30F light wind and sunny. It wasn't too bad. I bundled up and went out. It was a nice run. I didn't push the pace that much (7:46 average) and took the time to think about all sort of things. I ran between the campuses and did two loops on the east campus. Everything is so empty this time of the year.

5 miles on the treadmill. It's my first treadmill run for this season. I put it on 1% incline and did a little bit below 8 minutes pace. Finished strong.

3:30PM 64F cloudy. Went to Duke's tracks to do a short tempo run. I was tired from not sleeping enough in the last two days and it was already late in the day. I started with one mile warm up and then did 4 miles tempo. The mile splits were 7:06, 7:10,7:15, 722. This is wuite disappointing but I gave all I had which was apparently not much. Still have two short and easy runs to do tomorrow and on Friday and then a 12 miles on Sunday. Next week is a cut back week.

4:15PM 45F. Went to the gold trail and did two big loops and one small loop. It felt a bit hard today although the pace was not very hard (7:52). My sleep is far from perfect these days. Rest day tomorrow and long run on Sunday. Next week will be cut back week.

11AM went to the gym. There were very strong winds outside of like 20 miles/hour. Unfortunately the gym was closed at noon today so I managed to squeeze in only 4.1 miles out of the 5 I was planning to. I ran at 7:50 pace and 1% incline.
